Type: Freelance, Responsive Web App

My Role: Web Designer

embrolos Website

About: embrolos is a web app that lets users earn money by renting out locations or stuff.

Goal: I collaborated with the founder, Armando, on designing a 4-page website that includes a homepage, listing details page, create listing form, and a reservation details dashboard.

Wireframe Design

I brainstormed wireframe ideas by sketching, chose user-friendly layouts, and designed them digitally on Illustrator.

Branding

The client was interested in a minimalist design, purple-pink palette, and nostalgic newspaper typography (serif/display fonts).

Visual Design

To bring the layout to life, I refined it with branding elements such as color, typography, and imagery.

What They Had To Say

“I hired Jennifer to help me build a basic design blueprint for an online web application that I will be building. The application is somewhat similar to a major tech company like WeWork or Uber, so the requirements were quite complex and a lot of my requirements weren't known even to myself until we were building the project. She proposed a lot of suggestions that helped me narrow my scope of work but was receptive of the feedback I gave when I had adjustments to make.

She was very prompt and gave me way above what I paid for, in terms of the design package. She included mobile responsiveness, tablet designs and helped pick the color palette. She has a keen eye for human interface best practices and color themes. I will definitely be hiring her again as I work to build this project and when more pages become necessary. Thank you, Jennifer!”
